What’s the Rush?

American humorist, Evan Esar once said, “We can't do much about the length of our lives, but we can do plenty about it's width and depth.” His words encourage us to take a look at what it is that we are filling our graciously given time with. His words prompt us to sink into our lives a little deeper, become a little softer, a little more patient, a little more curious, a little more brave and honest.

Using live dance and film, What’s the Rush? invites you to join Vōx Dance Collective & friends on a summer road trip. Meet us at the studio and toss your bag in the car. Laugh, explore and dream with us through forests, winding roads and industrial settings. This live performance brings two incredible pieces back to the stage alongside brand new works, taking you on a journey that will encourage you to breathe a little deeper and dream a little longer. As the trip comes to an end, you will find you are right back where you started, feeling rested and inspired. We hope you will join us, embrace the journey and discover that while the destination matters, what happens along the way is what makes life extraordinary.

What’s the Rush? was produced under the artistic direction of Rachel Tobin of Vōx Dance Collective. This performance premiered as a part of the 2024 Omaha Fringe Festival.
